Autotesting is the cheapest form of motorsport around, and is generally considered to be the first step in many a motorsport career. From as little as £10, you can enter your car in classes catering for standard road cars to autotest specials.
The car pictured below was "standard" for a couple of seasons' autotesting before rebuild in 2004. Built from a very rusty (1 owner from new) Y-reg Mayfair. The only origional metal used was the floor pan, bulkhead and outer sills. Even then, extensive repair work was required. It is now classes as ab autotest special.
The car will be entered in the Caithness
Car Club autotests scheduled for the following dates in 2004:
The events are usually held at the old parade ground (near Wick airport) in Wick, usually starting at 7:00 pm.
Intentions are to have a couple of additional rounds this year; one in Inverness with the Highland Car Club, and hopefully one in Orkney with their Autotest Club.
